The Hound & Wildlife Habitat & Welfare Fund is a 50l(c)3 non-profit corporation organized by the Rocky Fork Headley Hunt for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, including the care of retired sporting foxhounds, the protection of wildlife habitats through land conservation, and educating the public about the importance of foxhunting to the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
The HWHWF is committed to building alliances with landowners, other sporting-dog organizations, game conservation and habitat management groups in order to:
Educate the public about the benefits of allowing foxhunting and other sporting-dog events to take place on their property
Open dialogue with landowners regarding habitat and land conservation strategies
Offer landowners information on conservation strategies, such as management agreements, estate planning and donation of conservation easements
Co-cultivate and share common lands in the pursuit of our sport and to maximize wildlife habitat preservation and conservation , efforts on those lands
